Join the live webcast! “Mind Reading: Human Origins and Theory of Mind” is a free public symposium hosted by the University of California, San Diego/Salk Institute for Biological Studies Center for Academic Research & Training in Anthropogeny (CARTA) on Friday, October 18th (1:00 – 5:30 pm Pacific Time), co-chaired by Donald Pfaff (Rockefeller University) and Terry Sejnowski (Salk Institute). Because precise definition is necessary for rigorous scientific analysis, the first talk will focus on the definition of Theory of Mind (ToM). The rest of the talks will cover the Ontogeny of Human ToM, relevant information on other mammals, and the neuronal correlates and mechanisms of human ToM performance.
