Financial Assistance applications are now open for the 2025 APS Annual Convention. Apply by Friday, January 17 at 5pm EST (22:00 UTC)!

Family Care Assistance

APS is pleased to offer Family Care Assistance to APS Members to defray the costs of care at home, at the conference, and/or during the preparation time directly involved in participating in the conference. This assistance is available to any APS member who serves as a caregiver in any capacity (e.g. child, parent, spouse, partner, dependent, etc.). Recipients of Family Care Assistance receive either a $200 cash stipend or a discount code for $200 off convention registration. Recipients are chosen through a lottery system.

Student Travel Assistance

The APS Student Travel Assistance program defrays travel costs for APS student members who submitted their research to the APS Annual Convention. Recipients are provided with complimentary Convention registration, as well as one complimentary night at the Washington Hilton hotel, the 2025 APS Annual Convention venue and host hotel. Travel Assistance recipients are required to volunteer for one six-hour shift onsite at the Convention. Volunteer duties typically include working at poster storage, providing directions to attendees, or completing room counts for various Convention events.
