New Editor-in-Chief at Perspectives on Psychological Science
APS is pleased to announce that Arturo Hernandez has been selected as the next Editor-in-Chief of Perspectives on Psychological Science. Hernandez is a Professor of Psychology at the University of Houston and his research focuses on developmental and cognitive psychology, including brain biases of language and bilingual and second language acquisition.
As Editor-in-Chief, Hernandez intends make strides in addressing and rectifying historical biases in psychological research, incorporate perspectives from less wealthy nations and underrepresented groups, ensure fair, transparent, and inclusive editorial processes, and consider mechanisms for dissemination outside the English language.
Hernandez recently served as Editor-in-Chief of Journal of Neurolinguistics and in editorial roles at several other journals, including Brain and Language and Frontiers in Psychology. Hernandez will begin his term as Editor-in-Chief on December 1, 2024, and will begin receiving submissions on Monday, December 2, 2024.
