2022 APS Janet Taylor Spence Award For Transformative Early Career Contributions

The APS Board of Directors invites nominations for the 2022 Janet Taylor Spence Award for Transformative Early Career Contributions.
Established in 2010, the APS Spence Award recognizes the accomplishments of APS Members who, in the early stage of their careers, are already making significant contributions to the field through boundary-crossing research and innovative scientific approaches. A decade later, recipients of the APS Spence Award are counted among the field’s most influential leaders.
Please take this opportunity to recognize the future leaders of our field by nominating outstanding early-career candidates for the 2022 APS Spence Award.
APS Rising Stars
Deadline: September 30, 2021
The APS Rising Star designation is presented to outstanding psychological scientists in the earliest stages of their post-PhD research careers. Nominees will be evaluated for their promise of excellence in research based on the following considerations:
- significant publications
- significant recognitions
- significant discoveries, methodological innovations, or theoretical or empirical contributions
- work with potentially broad impact
- commitment to diversity in science
- demonstrated independence from mentors
Eligibility for the next nomination period is limited to individuals who received a PhD between January 1, 2015 and December 31, 2018.
