Emerging Scholar Research Award
To celebrate the research and contributions of the APS student affiliates from diverse backgrounds, the Emerging Scholar Research Award will recognize individuals based on their personal statement, poster abstract submitted to the APS Annual Conference, and CV. Four winners will receive a monetary award, complimentary conference registration, mentorship, and APS media coverage. Applications for this award will be available with poster submissions for the 2024 APS Convention in San Francisco, CA, USA.
The application will include:
- A brief personal statement summarizing the applicant’s background and how this award will
help further their contributions to psychological science. - Poster abstract submitted to the APS Annual Convention (Poster Showcase)
- Curriculum Vitae
Applicants will be evaluated based on the significance of scientific contributions (e.g., poster abstract,
publication record, conference presentations) in addition to merit as determined by the review
committee.
The evaluation committee will be made up of the:
APSSC Student Awards Officer
APSSC President
APSSC Past President
and one representative from the APS Diversity & Inclusion Committee.
