Online Platform Accessibility
APS is committed to ensuring that the 2024 Global Psychological Science Summit is fully accessible to all persons.
Accessibility Overlay
The online platform, powered by Webex Events, offers an optional overlay with selectable accessibility profiles and adjustments, powered by a third-party AI solution. More information regarding how to activate the accessibility overlay will be provided closer to the event when the platform is finalized. (Please note that these options are only available on the webapp version and not the mobile app.)
- Secure Safe Profile – eliminates flashes and reduces color
- Vison Impaired Profile – enhances the website’s visuals
- Cognitive Disability Profile – assists with reading and focusing
- ADHD Friendly Profile – more focus and fewer distractions
- Blind Users (Screen-reader) – use the website with your screen-reader
- Keyboard Navigation (Motor) – use the website with the keyboard
Closed Captions
The Global Summit Event Platform includes free unlimited access to closed captions and translations in over 30 languages, only for our plenary panel sessions and workshops.
To access closed captions on the desktop version of the platform, join the live stream, then click the ‘CC’ icon below the lower right corner of the live stream and select a language from the drop-down. Captions then appear below the live stream.
To access closed captions on your mobile app, look for the ‘CC’ icon and a ‘Language’ icon in the live stream. To activate captions, tap the CC icon and you can select a language. Tapping the Language icon opens a window with a list of supported languages. Selecting a language automatically turns captions on. The mobile app displays closed captions in a few formats. By default, captions appear under the live stream. To show full caption mode without video, attendees simply swipe up on their mobile device. They can also display captions in landscape mode by rotating their phones horizontally.
For poster presentations, closed captions in your language will be available by clicking on the presenter’s YouTube or Vimeo video, not through the platform.
