Poster Awards
Apply for these awards as you submit your poster for the 2025 APS Annual Convention. Application information is included within the poster submission form.
The Student Research Award promotes and acknowledges outstanding research conducted by student members of APS.
Applicants must be current APS student members planning and able to travel to the APS Annual Convention.
Applicants may enter one APSSC competition each year (i.e., Student Grant Competition, Student Research Award, Emerging Scholar Award, or RISE Research Award) and as such are only eligible for one of these competitions each academic year. (Note: travel assistance for convention volunteers is excluded from this rule.)
The RISE Research Award acknowledges outstanding psychological science research related to under-represented populations or conducted by student members of APS from diverse backgrounds.
Applicants must be current APS student members planning and able to travel to the APS Annual Convention.

Emerging Scholar Research Award
To celebrate the research and contributions of the APS Student Caucus members from diverse backgrounds, the Emerging Scholar Research Award will recognize individuals based on their personal statement, poster abstract submitted to the APS Annual Conference, and CV.
Applicants must be current APS student members planning and able to travel to the APS Annual Convention.
Applicants may enter one APSSC competition each year (i.e., Student Grant Competition, Student Research Award, Emerging Scholar Award, or RISE Research Award) and as such are only eligible for one of these competitions each academic year. Scott O. Lilienfeld APS Travel Award
The Scott O. Lilienfeld award seeks to honor and extend APS James McKeen Cattell Fellow Scott O. Lilienfeld’s influence on the next generation of clinical scientists by recognizing graduate student achievement in clinical psychological science research and theory.
Applicants must be current APS student members planning and able to travel to the APS Annual Convention.
Psychological Science and Entrepreneurship Award
APS is pleased to offer this award, made possible with support from the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation. The Psychological Science and Entrepreneurship Poster Award is intended to stimulate research in entrepreneurship, which is the capacity and willingness to develop, organize, and manage a business venture, along with any of its risks, in the pursuit of opportunity and innovation. Students and early career researchers are eligible to apply for this award.
Applicants must be current APS members planning and able to travel to the APS Annual Convention.
The NIDCR Building Bridges Award is meant to forge connections between research in psychological science and dental, oral, and craniofacial health. All poster submitters are eligible to apply for this award.
Psi Chi APS Convention Society Research Award
The Psi Chi APS Convention Society Research Award recognizes outstanding undergraduate and graduate empirical research poster presentations at the APS Convention. This award is open to undergraduate or graduate students who are members of Psi Chi.
