Psychological Science Names Incoming Editor-in-Chief

APS is pleased to announce that Simine Vazire has been selected as the next Editor-in-Chief of Psychological Science. Vazire is a Professor of Psychology at the University of Melbourne, where she serves as co-director of the MetaMelb Lab and is a member of the Ethics and Well-being Hub. Her research focuses on people’s knowledge of their own personalities and behaviors as well as metascientific issues related to research methods and whether and how science self-corrects.

Vazire is currently the Editor-in-Chief of Collabra: Psychology, and she has also served in editorial roles at several other journals, including as Associate Editor for APS’s own Perspectives on Psychological Science and Advances in Methods and Practices in Psychological Science. APS would also like to thank outgoing Editor-in-Chief Patricia Bauer (Emory University) for her exceptional leadership of Psychological Science for the past 4 years. Through extraordinary challenges including the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, Bauer has ensured that the journal continues to be a top outlet for the most rigorous and innovative work in the field.

Vazire will begin her term as Editor-in-Chief on January 1, 2024.
