American Academy of Arts & Sciences Elects Eight APS Fellows
Eight APS Fellows have been elected to the American Academy of Arts & Sciences (AAAS), an honorary society and independent research center founded in 1780. Announced April 22, the complete class of 2021 members includes 252 leaders in the fields of social and behavioral sciences, mathematical and physical sciences, biological sciences, humanities and arts, and leadership, policy, and communication.
Newly elected APS Fellows:
- Deanna M. Barch, the chair and professor of psychological and brain sciences, the Gregory B. Couch Professor of Psychiatry, and professor of radiology at Washington University in St. Louis
- BJ Casey, professor of psychology at Yale University
- Stephen P. Hinshaw, professor of psychology at the University of California, Berkeley and vice-chair for child and adolescent psychology and professor of psychiatry and behavioral sciences at UC, San Francisco
- Marcia K. Johnson, Sterling Professor Emeritus of Psychology at Yale University
- Judith Kroll, Distinguished Professor of Language Science at the University of California, Irvine
- Ann S. Masten, Regent’s Professor, Irving B. Harris Professor of Child Development, and Distinguished McKnight University Professor at the University of Minnesota
- Nicole Shelton, Stuart Professor, Head of Butler College, and professor of psychology at Princeton University
- Eric Turkheimer, Hugh Scott Hamilton Professor of Psychology at the University of Virginia
